US 59 SOUTH EXPANSION – TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION

US 59 South, from Spur 10 to SH 99 in Fort Bend County, Texas included an approximate 12-mile expansion involving the addition of an HOV lane, conversion of two-way frontage roads to one-way where feasible, as well as multiple intersection improvements. US 59 South project originally required displacement of several commercial businesses; however, following public meetings and feedback, all displacements were avoided.

Berg Oliver tasks included preparation of the EA document that required a USACE verification and Section 404 permit, threatened and endangered species assessment and agency coordination, hazardous materials assessment, air quality and traffic noise analyses, ICI analysis, public involvement coordination, and coordination of the historic structures and archeological investigations.
